Offered for your consideration is this Right Hand Drive, 1964 Morgan +4 Roadster. This a survivor Morgan that has been privately held with the same owner for some 40+ years. The car was purchased in England by an US Air Force officer in 1975, shuttled to Scotland, and Germany before it was imported to the US in 1980. This is the +4 version with the Triumph TR4a engine and Moss gearbox. The exterior color was changed while the car was in Scotland from the original BRG to the current Bright Yellow. The interior has been redone in a medium green from the original black.
This Morgan is complete with functioning heater, wipers, turn indicators, windshield washers. leather bonnet strap and has also been fitted with a 4 way safety flasher.
Mechanically the car is very sound. The engine runs well, the Moss gearbox is in great shape and the gearchanges crisp and positive. The brakes work well and the car does not overheat.
The foul weather gear is all present, including side curtains, top boot, tonneau and vinyl top. There are also included with the sale, an extra set of side curtains, original black top boot and one original black seat cushion. The top bows are in good condition and the interior has no rips or tears in the seats or side panels. The original Baltic Birch plywood floor boards appear to be in very good original condition. The Walnut dash facia is in excellent condition as are the instruments and steering wheel and column.
Also included in the sale are the original jack, center nut spanner, and soft faced hammer.
This Morgan has spent the past 20+ years in sunny dry Arizona and maintained to a reliable driver level by a reputable, experienced Sports Car Shop. The mileage is documented to be original at 81,600 miles.
