1970 Hemi Challenger R/T Convertible, conjures up images of possibly the rarest, most sought after, high performance vehicle of the era. There were only 12 examples of this exotic, muscle car prodcued and currently trade in the seven figure stratosphere.
Featured here is a faithful, re-creation of that iconic Mopar that has been recently constructed using all the latest, components and materials to produce a "state of the art" tribute car that deserves your scrutiny and inspection.
A low mileage, small block, rust free convertible was selected as the donor for this ambitious project. The body was totally, rotisserie restored to "as new" condition and then refinished in Vitamin 'C' Orange. All non visible surfaces were, also, either epoxy coated or powder coated to match, including, the complete undercarriage, engine bay, passenger compartment and trunk.
The interior is splendid in black throughout with a black power operated top. The total interior floor has by been dyna-matted front to rear. Additional enhancemets include front disc brakes, new mild steel large diameter exhaust with stainless mufflers and in dash AIR CONDITIONING.
The power train consists of a new 426 cubic inch, 465 horse power dyno tested, crate Hemi, topped with a new Mopar M1 Series dual quad intake with 2 new Edlebrock 500 cfm carburetors. Period correct valve covers, electronic ignition and Aderenaline Concepts air cleaner complete the ensemble.
The awesome power is put the ground via a 727 automatic transmission, Hughes 2500 rpm stall converter, through an 8 3/4" Sure Grip limited slip differential with 355 gears. This Challenger rolls on Magnum 500 wheels, shod with BFG performance radial tires.
This is the Ultimate Muscle Mopar,. Over $170,000 invested. This Challenger is Certified "Road Ready" and carries a power train warranty. Sale also includes a photo "build book" with color photos illustrating the entire build process from inception to completion and all receipts.
The car is fully sorted, runs and drives well, with exhillerating performance, and has logged approximately 2000 miles since its completion.
