#HDB46/7204
This MGTF, built September 23, 1954, has been owned by the same family since new. It is a left hand drive US model and shows only 23,600 original miles and has never been offered for sale and carries serial #HDB46/7204. The car has never been accident damaged and still has the original Gray exterior paint finish. The interior is also original in red leather. The top has been replaced once, in its life and all four original side curtains and the original tonneau cover are present.
The car boasts the original tool kit, jack, grease gun, tire pump and lug wrench.
Although the car is is in very good condition for its age, it is a definite survivor. There are two viable options when considering this MG. One option would be to clean and detail the car and use it as a the true survivor that it is, enjoying the 55 year provenance, patina and originality. A second option is that this is the perfect candidate for a concours restoration. With its original body panels, instruments, accessories and tools, this is a restorer's dream car.
This MGTF 1500 is the most desireable "T" series MG's of the 50's. The car starts and runs well, and drives well. All the instruments, switches and warning lamps function. It can be used as an occassional driver for special events or is an excellent candidate for a concours restoration. It is a numbers match example, including the engine and transmission. It has the optional wind wings. The wood in the body and floors are in very good condition. There is no rust in the body or undercarriage.
Inspection is available by appointment. . . I am always available to show and demonstrate this car.
