A rust free California Triumph TR4 was chosen for this Custom project. The body was removed and stripped to bare metal. The chassis received a complete sanblast and then this car was rebuilt from the frame up with no expense spared. All the sheet metal panels are straight with great alignment and closing gaps. The British Racing Green paint finish is excellent. The body was painted while disassembled so everthing is painted and done professionally and correctly.
This TR4 is now powered by a blue printed and balanced 302 Ford V8, This engine features:
- Windsor Junior cylinder heads
- Forged pistons with 9.5-1 compression ratio
- Roller rockers
- Mild hydraulic camshaft
- Aluminum Intake manifold
- 750 cfm Holley Carburetor
- Custom Headers
- 4 core radiator
- 6 Blade stainless steel fan
The body and frame were reinforced to accommodate the additional power The fenders flares have been extended to accommodate the 5 lug Sonoma custom wheels shod with Michelin pilot Sports radial tires.
The front and rear suspension were upgraded with poly bushing, dual sway bars, Armstrong Heavy Duty lever action shock absorbers and heavy duty road springs to handle the extra horsepower and weight.
The brakes have also been upgraded to 10” drums at the rear and new front disc brakes.
This custom TR4 also features chrome plated large diameter side exhaust, custom interior in tan custom fabricated transmission tunnel, New dash facia, with Autometer and Stewart Warner instruments, a new, black dash pad, & a custom, frame mounted roll bar with battery kill switch.
